Trump is bringing Mueller down

Don't feud with Donald Trump. Too many have and wound up worse for wear. I gave 26 examples. No. 27 may be Robert Mueller, who has wasted the last seven months trying to frame President Trump.

Mueller has nothing -- and is losing his reputation.

Trump cannot fire Mueller. That would make him a martyr.

On July 21, I wrote:
President Trump needs to fire Robert Mueller -- but in a manner in which his enemies in Congress do not turn around and hire the Big Leak back.
Trump has to make Mueller too toxic to touch.
The plan is to investigate the investigator.
And that is what the New York Times reported he was doing:
President Trump’s lawyers and aides are scouring the professional and political backgrounds of investigators hired by the special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, looking for conflicts of interest they could use to discredit the investigation — or even build a case to fire Mr. Mueller or get some members of his team recused, according to three people with knowledge of the research effort.
Trump told that to the Times:
During an interview with The New York Times on Wednesday, Mr. Trump said he was aware that members of Mr. Mueller’s team had potential conflicts of interest and would make the information available “at some point.”
On October 30, I again made the case for not firing Mueller:
Robert Mueller poses no threat to anyone but himself. His arrogance -- hubris -- will do him in because he does not know whom he is dealing with. Mueller is a perfect media darling because he reflects so many of the swelled heads in the newsrooms.
Mueller is good, but stubborn. As head of the FBI, he personally directed the investigation of deadly anthrax attacks. The FBI hounded one man for seven years, but he was the wrong guy.

Taxpayers had to shell out $5.8 million to the victim of Mueller's abuse to settle his lawsuits.

That's more than we paid the victims of soon-to-be ex-Congressman John Conyers, a Democrat from Detroit.

Mueller's unwillingness to back down will cost him everything because he is up against an innocent man who happens to be president.

Over the weekend, the results of Trump's investigation of Team Mueller surfaced. Mueller had to fire his top investigator because that investigator left a trail of anti-Trump emails, and was caught destroying evidence and altering statements in that Fake Investigation of Hillary's emails.

President Trump timed the leak to blunt the damage from Lieutenant General Michael Flynn copping a plea to get out from under a million-dollar bill from lawyers.

But Trump's fortunes also were boosted when Brian Ross of ABC News mistakenly said Trump asked Flynn to contact Russians before the election.

This was leaked by Team Mueller. ABC News suspended Ross. Will we suspend Mueller?

Especially after Tuesday's leak to Reuters that Mueller subpoenaed Trump's bank records -- which President Trump easily proved was Fake News.

Mueller should have wrapped this up by Thanksgiving. Instead, he is flogging that dead horse called the Russian dossier.

I am wondering when the press will start passing on his leaks. Who wants to be the next Brian Ross?
