The West's Love of Feeding the Beast :
Once Again: The Naive West Freely Gives to a Hate-Filled Islam
During that attack, Zahrah Rehman’s husband, Khuram Butt, and two other Muslims, killed eight people and injured another 48, by running over them with a van and stabbing them with knives. If the police had not managed to shoot and kill the three terrorists, many more passersby would likely have been killed.
The distaste felt by some Brits at learning that their taxes are going to the wife of a savage terrorist is further soured by the fact that — and despite her claims otherwise — evidence suggests she knew and may even have shared in his “ISIS” worldview: “I knew it was a possibility that he wanted to go to Syria,” she confessed, “but he never told me that he hates this country and wanted to attack this country.” Such a defense is beyond silly: wanting to go and fight for the Islamic State in Syria is synonymous with hating Britain and any “infidel” nation. Moreover,
In video evidence provided to the hearing, Ms Rehman is seen talking with her extremist husband about naming British airports after radical Islamists…. Another video presented before the inquiry showed the couple on their honeymoon in Pakistan and her husband hailing “Dawlat al-Islamiyah” – a monicker for Islamic State. Rehman denied that she understood what Butt was saying, claiming she could not understand Arabic.
At one point in the video, she even suggested renaming a London airport after Britain’s most notorious hate-preacher, Anjem Choudary, a man who helped “radicalize” her murderous husband and who spent five years in prison for his ties to ISIS. When confronted about her suggestion, Rehman shrugged it off as “just a stupid joke.”
We take the jizya, which is our haq [Arabic for “right”], anyway. The normal situation by the way is to take money from the kafir [infidel], isn’t it? So this is the normal situation. They give us the money — you work, give us the money, Allahu Akhbar! We take the money.
According to Koran 9:29, jizya is monetary tribute subjugated non-Muslims (dhimmis) are required to pay to Muslims as the price for not killing them. This practice was only (and formally) abolished in the nineteenth century, thanks entirely to European intervention.
Choudary’s position on accepting infidel money — and Rehman’s acceptance of it — is not out of the Islamic mainstream. Sometime back, for instance, I watched a roundtable discussion on U.S. foreign aid to Egypt on Al Hafiz TV, an Arabic-language Islamic station. At one point, one of the guests, a cleric, insisted that the U.S. must be treated contemptuously, like a lowly and downtrodden dhimmi; that Egypt must make the U.S. conform to its own demands; and that, then, all the money the U.S. offers to Egypt in foreign aid can be taken as rightfully earned jizya.
When the host asked the learned cleric, “Do the Americans owe us jizya?” he responded, “Yes” — that is the price Americans have to pay “so we can leave them alone!”
At any rate, here, then, is yet another way that the liberal Left and the illiberal Islam complement one another: the one stupidly gives, while the other selfishly takes — all while despising and plotting the destruction of its benefactor.
Britain, especially, thrives on conforming to this model. According to a recent report, a ban preventing Anjem Choudary from preaching — he had “radicalized” several other Muslim murderers aside from Butt — is set to be lifted in May 2021, “and now security sources fear that Choudary will immediately resume his campaign to radicalise young Muslims.”
Duh.

BLM's Are MARXIST (by their own admission)
- We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence.
- We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered.
- We practice empathy. We engage comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts.
- We make our spaces family-friendly and enable parents to fully participate with their children. We dismantle the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work "double shifts" so that they can mother in private even as they participate in public justice work.
- We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and "villages" that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.
- We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).

Who is Funding and Organizing the Antifa Insurrection?
Leftist Resentment of Blacks Becomes Evident
We Should Have Killed the Monster 40 Years Ago
Who is Funding and Organizing the Antifa Insurrection?
A group of looters broke into the store and began to flee, and as they got into a car, one of them wasn’t fast enough and was left behind by his group. Police were able to catch him, and he was taken into custody.
Santa Monica Police said over 400 arrests were made last night on charges included looting, violation of curfew, burglary, and assault. According to police, the vast majority, 95%, were not residents.“They would go to the Nike store, this store, they were just telling each other where to go,” said Sunnin Lebanese Cuisine owner Nicole Chammaa.Chammaa said looters and vandals got into her Lebanese restaurant, damaged her furniture and decor, and got away with two cash registers full of cash.
Chief Mylett said the looters were separate from the peaceful protesters who were demanding police accountability in the wake of George Floyd’s killing.
He thinks they’re exploiting the moment and connected to the other scenes of violence in the area.
Chief Mylett said his priority is the preservation of life. He said some of the looters are armed and he worries their crimes could escalate.
Bellevue Police arrested 14 people on Sunday. He said the youngest was 13 years old.
The FBI respects the rights of individuals to peacefully exercise their First Amendment rights. Our mission of protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution is dual and simultaneous, not contradictory.Accordingly, we are committed to apprehending and charging violent instigators who are exploiting legitimate, peaceful protests and engaging in violations of federal law. The continued violence, potential threat to life, and destruction of property across the United States interferes with the rights and safety of First Amendment-protected peaceful demonstrators, as well as all other citizens. To help us identify actors who are actively instigating violence in the wake of Mr. George Floyd’s death, the FBI is accepting tips and digital media depicting violent encounters surrounding the civil unrest that is happening throughout the country.

9/11 "Some People Did Something" 18th Anniversary
Commemoration: “Some People Did Something?”
Nicholas Haros Jr., donning a black T-shirt with the words “some people did something?” singled out the congresswoman and the other members of “the Squad” after reading the names of the dead, including his mother’s,
Frances Haros, at the ceremony.“’Some people did something,’ said a freshman congresswoman from Minnesota,” said Haros in reference to Omar.To the sound of some applause, Haros continued, “Today I am here to respond to you exactly who did what to whom.”“Madam, objectively speaking, we know who and what was done. There is no uncertainty about that. Why your confusion?” Haros asked. “On that day, 19 Islamic terrorist members of al Qaeda killed over 3,000 people and caused billions of dollars of economic damage. Is that clear?”“But as to whom,” Haros continued, “I was attacked, your relatives and friends were attacked, our constitutional freedoms were attacked and our nation’s founding on Judeo-Christian principles were attacked.”“That’s what some people did,” Haros railed. “Got that now?”
THE 18TH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11.
Back then, InstaPundit was shiny and new new. Now it’s not, and some people have been warning of “blogger burnout.” But I’m still here. On prior 9/11 anniversaries, I’ve given shooting lessons to a Marine, I’ve taken the day off from blogging, and I’ve even gone to a Tea Party with Andrew Breitbart.
This year, as in most past years, it’ll be blogging as usual. And here’s a link to my original 9/11 coverage — just scroll on up. At this late date, I don’t have anything new to say on 9/11. But these predictions held up pretty well. Which is too bad.
The picture above is by my cousin-in-law Brad Rubenstein, taken from his apartment that day. You might also want to read this piece by James Lileks.
And here’s a passage from Lee Harris’s Civilization And Its Enemies.
Forgetfulness occurs when those who have been long inured to civilized order can no longer remember a time in which they had to wonder whether their crops would grow to maturity without being stolen or their children sold into slavery by a victorious foe.I’ve mentioned it before, but it bears repeating today.
…
They forget that in time of danger, in the face of the Enemy, they must trust and confide in each other, or perish.
They forget, in short, that there has ever been a category of human experience called the Enemy. And that, before 9/11, was what had happened to us. The very concept of the Enemy had been banished from our moral and political vocabulary. An enemy was just a friend we hadn’t done enough for — yet. Or perhaps there had been a misunderstanding, or an oversight on our part — something that we could correct. And this means that that our first task is that we must try to grasp what the concept of the Enemy really means.
The Enemy is someone who is willing to die in order to kill you. And while it is true that the Enemy always hates us for a reason — it is his reason, and not ours.
One thing I guess I didn’t believe 17 years ago is that America would elect such a feckless President in 2008, and stand idly by while he flushed our global position, and security, down a left-wing toilet. But we did, and we’ll be paying the price for a long time. That said, for the first time I feel like our diplomacy is on a good track, and that — thanks also to fracking — the problems that led to 9/11 are being addressed.
God bless America. We need it.

"BY REQUEST FROM THE BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO AND FIREARMS AND NICS, THE FOLLOWING IS A SPECIAL NOTICE TO ALL FIREARMS RETAILERS
ATF ISSUE SECURITY ADVISORY . . . The ATF has issued a special request that all federally licensed firearms retailers consider implementing additional security measures tonight and in the near-term to safeguard their inventory following the terrorist attacks launched on the United States today. NICS FULLY FUNCTIONAL . . . Officials at the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) in Clarksburg, WV, have said that the increased volume of telecommunications usage nationwide has resulted in some retailers having difficulty in obtaining NICS checks. NICS says the system is fully operational and delays retailers encounter are strictly due to the telecommunications system overload. The ATF and NICS appreciate your patience during these difficult times."
Wonder if they're sending this to box-cutter retailers....
[O]ver the long term, political leaders must exercise extreme caution about overreacting to these staggeringly severe circumstances. Those who have called for government control of Internet-encryption technology, monitoring of the movements of cell-phone users and similar surveillance techniques will demand these and other steps in the aftermath of these disasters. In the name of fighting terrorism, such steps may be appealing. However, American leaders and voters alike should be very careful about embracing measures today that will leave citizens less free in the long run in an effort to catch criminals in the here and now. The Bill of Rights must not collapse with the Twin Towers.American officials should feel no such restraint about retaliating against whatever group or nation perpetrated these acts of war. Any country that gave aid and comfort to whomever did these things should be treated as if its president were at the controls of one of the flying bombs that so tragically found its target.
About today:I'm a deputy attorney general, and essentially act as the general
counsel for the Delaware Department of Transportation. Among other
things, I've worked for several years with my counterparts in the Port
Authority of NY/NJ on the EZPass project (electronic toll collection
systems). As soon as I heard of the attacks on the WTC, my thoughts went
immediately to my business friends who work for the Port Authority in
Building One. There was no way I could reach them to find out how or if
they made it out safely. Then I thought of all the thousands of others,
with similar thoughts about the thousands of people they know who work
or live in the same area. The "six degrees of separation" that connect so many Americans may not
be fully appreciated by those not of this country. It'll be one of the
reasons we come together fairly quickly as a people to react in strong,
measured ways to this newest outrage. My office is near Dover AFB, which went to Delta level along with all
the other military bases. State employees were dismissed early, and as I
drove by the base I was impressed at the line of cars of AFB staff lined
up to enter the base for duty on short notice. It was obvious that many
were interrupted in the middle of living their lives according to the
normal peacetime routine. It was also obvious that these people know
their duty and are prepared to follow through. Some good will come of this eventually, I'm sure. It's just an awful
price to pay.
The Westmoreland County Emergency Operations Center said it received a cell phone call at 9:58 a.m. from a man who said he was a passenger aboard the flight. The man said he had locked himself in a bathroom and told 911 dispatchers that the plane hadbeen hijacked. He said he thought the plane was going down and told dispatchers that he heard an explosion and saw white smoke on the plane.
Then the line went dead. Dispatchers contacted the FBI. The plane went down near the town of Shanksville, on hillsides dotted with old strip mines.
In response to the criminal attacks against targets in New York City and Washington, DC, the Muslim Public Affairs Council issued the following statement: 1) We feel that our country, the United States, is under attack 2) All Americans should stand together to bring the perpetrators to justice 3) We warn against any generalizations that will only serve to help the criminals and incriminate the innocent 4) We offer our resources and resolve to help the victims of these intolerable acts, and we pray to God to protect and bless America
